அறிவியலின் தாக்கம் மற்ற துறைகளில் மனிதனின் சிந்தனையை எவ்வாறு பாதிக்கிறது என்பதுபற்றி நேரடியாக பேச விரும்புகிறேன். இது திரு . ஜான் டேன்ஸ் பிரத்யேகமாக விவாதிக்க விரும்பியது. இந்த விரிவுரையின் முதலாவது பகுதியில் அறிவியலின் இயல்பு- குறிப்பாக அறிவியலில் என்றும் உள்ள " சந்தேகம் " மற்றும் "நிலையற்ற தன்மை "- பற்றி பிரத்யேகமாக விவாதிக்க உள்ளேன். அடுத்ததாக அரசியல் சார்ந்த , குறிப்பாக தேச விரோதிகள் சம்மந்தப்பட்ட கேள்விகளின் மேலும் மற்றும் மதம் சார்ந்த கேள்விகளின் மேலும் விஞ்ஞானபூர்வமான பார்வையின் தாக்கம் பற்றி விவாதிக்க உள்ளேன். மூன்றன்வது விரிவுரையில் எனது பார்வையில் சமூகம் எப்படி தெரிகிறது ? -அறிவியல் பார்வை கொண்ட மனிதனுக்கு என்று என்னால் சொல்ல முடியும் ஆனால் "எனக்கு" என்றளவில் மட்டுமே -மற்றும் எதிர்கால அறிவியல் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் என்னென்ன சமூக பிரச்சனைகளை உருவாக்கும் என்பதைப்பற்றியும் விவாதிக்க விரும்புகிறேன்.
